Numbers on the StepWise Flashcards
Each of the StepWise Band and Orchestra Flashcards has a number at the top of the front side. These numbers organize all the instruments into matching concert pitch. This allows music teachers to chose a set of notes for any wind or string instrument and have the entire class work on the same notes (in concert pitch). For example, I might want to help the Alto Saxophone players work on switching between C Natural, C Sharp (with no fingers), and high D (with all the fingers).

So, after checking the StepWise Guide, I can ask all students to take out flashcard numbers 16, 17, and 18. Then I can work with the entire class on the Concert E-flat, Concert E, and Concert F pitches, which is especially helpful for your trombone players who think there is only ONE kind of E!
